I wonder if you have time or inclination to help me out?
I am writing an article on Pilgrim for Living Tradition magazine and website, and would be very grateful if we could have a chat or maybe exchange emails about Pilgrim and yourself at Hull, Humber Jug, the Ramblers, and Ramblers' refugees who ended up at Hull. Also, would it be possiblt to get a couple of nice photos of Humber Jug to possibly use with the article, they are more fun than the Vipers! Also any thoughts on Pilgrim's washboard playing, how integral a part was it in Humber Jug? From what I've heard of the band he laid down a good solid rhythm for you to sing and play over. I think Humber Jug were a good band, as good as any of the better known earlier skiffle/spasm bands. More Ken Colyer than Donegan. I do hope you can find time to help me out. Wishing you all that's best - Dave.Email: Tel: 07765377441.
P.S. I believe we have a mutual friend/acquaintance in Clive Hopwood. We were involved in the Society for Storytelling when I was one of the Directors. Thanks for any help.
